Why
There are 1.25 million Realtors in the United States. 185,000 in California alone. A typical homeowner either knows 10 agents, knows someone who knows 10 agents or is an agent. California Association of Realtors research found that 1 in 52 homeowners in California has a real estate license.
The proliferation of template websites, boilerplate content, standardized listing feeds, arbitrary designations and cloned image branding has made distinguishing one agent’s qualifications from another virtually impossible. There are very few tools available to consumers to identify reputable and trustworthy agents; traits several consumer surveys have reveled influence consumers most when choosing an agent.
Yet, each real estate transaction is unique, and not all agents are suited to all transactions. Consumers are looking for the agents who’s experience, skill set, and personality are the best fit for their situation.
The thought that spawned Agent Scoreboard was this: “What if there was a way to bring the most unique features about each agent, combine them with their track record and display it online for consumers?”
